Hollow Glass Microspheres 3M Sctochlite K-46

Hollow Glass Microspheres made of sodalime borosilicate practically insoluble in water and white powdery material that floats on water.

  • Product Type: 3M Sctochlite K-46

  • True Density: 0,46 g/cc
  • True Density: 6000 Psi

3M™ Glass Bubbles K46 are hollow glass spheres with a typical density of 0.46 g/cc and isostatic crush strength of 6000 psi. These spheres are Good strength-to-density ratio for use in a variety of oil and gas applications, including in deep sea oil and gas projects (up to 10,000 ft. /3,000 m.) 3M™ Glass Bubbles K46 can be used in thermoplastic compounding, extrusion processes and in insulation coatings in deep water applications. They produce strong, stable voids with low thermal conductivity, helping coatings achieve the necessary strength.
