Hollow Glass Microspheres


3M™ Glass Bubbles are made with soda lime borosilicate glass used as additives in an astonishing variety of products. They are used in plastic components, putties, caulks and sealant for density reduction and improve sanding properties. Glass Microspheres are used cement to reinforce oil wells and are used in underwater pipe insulation coatings wish makes it possible to extract more oil from the bottom of the sea. In automotive and aviation Glass Microsphere incorporated in plastic parts help to greatly reduce weight of the parts eventually helping to reduce vehicle weight – improving fuel efficiency. 3M™ Glass Microspheres are chemically stable hence used in variety of water, solvent and polymers based formulation without reacting to any other raw materials.
