FC-201
C6 anionic fluorinated-phosphate surfactant for outstanding wetting, spreading, penetration and surface-tension reduction in water-based formulations.
Powerful wetting in a fully aqueous carrier.
Fluorodyne FC-201 is a short-chain C6 anionic fluorosurfactant based on fluorinated-phosphate chemistry. Supplied as a 20% active aqueous solution in deionized water, it is designed to lower static and dynamic surface tension at very low dosage.
FC-201 helps water-based formulations spread over low-surface-energy substrates, penetrate porous structures and reach complex surfaces. Its IPA-free carrier provides low VOC contribution and simple incorporation into compatible aqueous systems.
Water-soluble surface control.
Use FC-201 where water must wet, spread or penetrate faster without introducing an alcohol carrier.
Incorporate in Water
Introduce FC-201 into the compatible aqueous phase under controlled mixing.
Reach Interfaces
The surface-active molecules move to liquid-air and liquid-solid boundaries.
Lower Surface Tension
Static and dynamic surface tension are reduced for faster surface contact.
Wet & Penetrate
The formulation spreads across low-energy surfaces and enters pores more readily.
Static Surface Control
Reduces equilibrium surface tension to improve final substrate wetting.
Dynamic Wetting
Supports rapid surface contact in fast spray, print and cleaning operations.
Spreading
Promotes wider and more uniform coverage at low addition levels.
Penetration
Improves liquid entry into fibres, pores, recessed metal areas and mineral surfaces.
IPA-Free
Deionized-water carrier provides low VOC contribution without isopropyl alcohol.
Water Soluble
Completely water-soluble for straightforward aqueous incorporation.
Wetting vs Time
Dynamic wetting matters in short-contact-time spray, printing, cleaning and pretreatment processes.
Contact & Penetration Concept
Actual penetration depends on pore structure, viscosity, contact time and FC-201 addition.
One grade across seven aqueous platforms.
