WP-210
White Ceramic Microspheres

A premium low-iron alumino-silicate filler combining bright-white colour, 10 µm particle size and high mechanical durability for colour-critical formulations.

WHY WP-210

White performance without filler-induced greying

More than 90% sphericity, ultra-low iron and fine particle distribution support colour neutrality, efficient packing, improved rheology and a smooth coating finish.

01

True Colour Neutrality

Fe₂O₃ below 0.5% helps preserve bright whites, pastels and light shades.

02

TiO₂ Extension

Fine spheres act as spacers around TiO₂ particles to improve light-scattering efficiency.

03

Ultra-Low Oil Absorption

Oil absorption of 22–32 g/100 g supports higher filler loading and controlled binder demand.

04

Scrub, Burnish & Abrasion Resistance

Hard ceramic particles help coatings resist repeated cleaning, polishing marks and surface wear.

05

Thermal & Chemical Stability

Stable above 1000°C and resistant to most acids, alkalis and organic solvents.

06

Barrier & Durability

Fine spheres pack efficiently, reducing porosity and supporting long-term surface durability.

APPLICATIONS & END-USE MARKETS

Designed for colour-critical applications

WP-210 is intended for formulations where whiteness, smoothness and durable mechanical performance are essential.

COATING DURABILITY EXPLAINED

What is scrub and burnish resistance?

A coating must survive repeated cleaning without wearing away—and preserve its original sheen without developing polished, glossy patches.

Scrub Resistance

The ability of a dried coating film to withstand repeated wet cleaning with water, detergent, brushes or sponges without erosion, scratching, loss of hiding or exposure of the substrate.

Burnish Resistance

The ability of a coating—especially a matt or low-sheen finish—to resist an unwanted increase in gloss caused by rubbing, cleaning or polishing.

The difference: scrub resistance measures physical film wear; burnish resistance measures visible change in surface appearance. A durable coating should resist both.

How WP-210 helps the coating film

Hard Ceramic Reinforcement

Mohs hardness of 5.5–6.5 helps the film resist cleaning abrasion, scratches and surface wear.

High Structural Strength

Individual spheres withstand at least 50,000 psi, helping them remain intact during processing and service.

Efficient Film Packing

A 10 µm D50 and more than 90% sphericity promote uniform packing, lower porosity and a smoother surface.

Controlled Binder Demand

Oil absorption of 22–32 g/100 g helps retain sufficient binder for film integrity and wet-scrub performance.

Mohs 5.5–6.5 ≥50,000 psi crush strength D50 10 µm >90% spherical Fe₂O₃ <0.5%

Practical result: WP-210 can support a harder, smoother and more uniformly packed coating film that better withstands repeated cleaning while retaining a consistent matt or low-sheen appearance. Final performance depends on resin quality, pigment-volume concentration, formulation balance and application conditions, so the optimum addition level should be established through laboratory trials.

PUBLISHED PRODUCT COMPARISON

Low iron makes the white-series difference

The supplied product page compares WP-210 with the standard grey GP-200 grade on iron oxide content and colour suitability.

FORMULATION GUIDANCE

Designed for
practical processing

Introduce WP-210 under suitable agitation and optimise the loading according to viscosity, finish and mechanical requirements.

1

Pre-check compatibility

Confirm wetting and dispersion in the selected resin or binder system.

2

Add under controlled mixing

Use sufficient agitation for uniform incorporation without unnecessary dusting.

3

Optimise by trial

Evaluate viscosity, density, finish, adhesion and mechanical properties.

Formulator’s note

WP-210 can be used as a partial functional replacement for conventional fillers. The optimum replacement level should be established by laboratory trials.
