DUSTZEN®
MINE

Water-dilutable polymer technology developed for extraction, crushing, screening, transfer points and conveyor lines—helping capture fine particles at their source and reduce dust migration through the processing circuit.

Extraction Crushing Screening Conveyors & Transfers
Control Dust Through the Circuit

From the mine face to the final conveyor.

Every drop, impact and size-reduction step can release dust. DUSTZEN Mine is diluted into spray water and applied at selected emission points, helping wet mineral surfaces, bind loose fines and reduce dust escape without flooding the process.

Improved Fine-Particle Wetting

Helps spray droplets spread across dusty mineral surfaces.

Source-Level Suppression

Targets crushers, screens, chutes and transfer-point emissions.

Reduced Water Demand

Designed to improve control at lower moisture addition than uncontrolled water use.

Flexible Integration

Suitable for fixed headers, fog systems and mobile spray equipment.

The Mine Dust Challenge

Dust is regenerated at every impact and transfer.

Broken ore repeatedly releases fresh fines as it passes through crushers, screens, chutes and conveyor transfers. Effective control requires correctly placed sprays and consistent process response.

Fine spray suppressing dust above a mineral conveyor
01 · IMPACT

Crushing Emissions

Size reduction exposes dry surfaces and generates new respirable fines.

02 · SEPARATION

Screening Dust

Vibration and particle movement release dust across open decks and discharge points.

03 · TRANSFER

Drop-Point Plumes

Material falling through chutes displaces air and carries fine particles outward.

04 · RELIABILITY

Dust Deposition

Airborne dust can reduce visibility, burden housekeeping and accumulate on equipment.

How DUSTZEN Mine Works

Four stages from dosing to process control

01

Dose

Meter the selected concentration into clean process or spray water.

02

Atomise

Generate droplets suited to the target, airflow and material throughput.

03

Capture

Improved wetting helps droplets contact airborne and surface fines.

04

Bind

Treated fines agglomerate and remain with the process stream more effectively.

Application Strategy

Match concentration and spray placement to the emission source.

Performance depends on mineral type, moisture, particle-size distribution, throughput, drop height, airflow, enclosure, nozzle selection and downstream moisture limits.

1:20–100 DUSTZEN Mine : Water

Use the stronger end for very dry fines, severe impact or limited spray volume. Higher dilution may suit pre-wetting, enclosed conveyors or maintenance control. Optimise with measured dust and moisture data.

Crushers & Feeders

Place controlled sprays before and after impact zones to precondition feed and capture freshly generated fines.

Screens & Chutes

Target the feed box, discharge lip and material trajectory while avoiding screen blinding or excess moisture.

Conveyors & Transfers

Apply at loading zones and transfer points with coverage matched to belt width, speed and material bed depth.

Commissioning Procedure

Start controlled, measure results and optimise.

Nozzle placement and application rate should be tuned point by point. More liquid is not always better; uniform contact is the priority.

STEP 01

Map Dust Sources

Identify visible plumes, high-drop transfers, crushers, screens and wind entry points.

STEP 02

Prepare Solution

Charge clean water first, add DUSTZEN Mine slowly and mix gently.

STEP 03

Set Spray Pattern

Select nozzles, pressure and orientation for full material coverage.

STEP 04

Run & Measure

Operate at representative throughput and record dust, moisture and housekeeping.

STEP 05

Optimise Dosing

Adjust concentration and flow until control targets are met without process penalties.

Technical Profile & Validation

Validate suppression without compromising the process.

Technical FAQs

Common questions before a mine trial

Where should DUSTZEN Mine be applied first? +
Begin with the largest measurable emission sources—typically crusher discharge, screen discharge and high-drop conveyor transfers.
Will it add too much moisture? +
The system is intended for controlled dosing. Measure baseline moisture and optimise nozzle placement and concentration to achieve suppression within process limits.
Can it use existing spray headers? +
Often yes, provided pumps, seals, filters and nozzles are compatible and can deliver uniform flow without plugging or excessive drift.
How should performance be measured? +
Combine visible-emission observations with particulate monitoring, moisture checks, housekeeping records and equipment-performance data.
