CALCIUM FORMATE
High-purity crystalline organic salt designed for cement set acceleration, early-strength development and cold-weather dry-mix construction applications.
Accelerate cement without adding calcium chloride.
Calcium Formate Technical Grade is a free-flowing organic calcium salt used in cementitious systems. It promotes early hydration, helping shorten set time and develop early mechanical strength in dry-mix mortars, tile adhesives, screeds, precast concrete and repair products.
Unlike calcium chloride accelerators, the product page specifies 0.00% chloride. This makes Calcium Formate suitable for evaluation where chloride introduction and reinforcement corrosion risk must be controlled.
Faster set. Earlier strength. Wider working season.
Performance depends on cement chemistry, temperature, water demand, admixture package and dosage.
Accelerated Set
Shortens initial and final setting time in compatible cement formulations.
Early Strength
Supports faster 24-hour compressive and flexural strength development.
Non-Chloride Route
Offers set acceleration without using calcium chloride as the accelerator.
Cold-Weather Support
Helps counter slower cement hydration at low ambient temperature.
Earlier Handling
Can support faster demoulding, grouting or foot-traffic schedules after validation.
Powder Compatibility
Free-flowing powder format for controlled addition to dry-mix formulations.
